Who this is for​

This page is for ShortURL users who need to delete their account or understand what happens after a deletion request.

Before you start​

  • Sign in to the ShortURL mobile app or web app.
  • Leave active shared workspaces or remove other active members from subscriptions you own before requesting deletion.
  • Export any reports or records you need before deletion pauses normal app access.

What to do - Request or cancel account deletion​

  1. Open Profile in the mobile app, or open Settings > Account > Profile in the web app.
  2. Review the account deletion status.
  3. Type DELETE and submit the request when you are ready.
  4. ShortURL schedules a 30-day grace period, pauses normal app/API access, revokes API keys, and shows the scheduled deletion date.
  5. If the request is still pending, return to the deletion status screen and choose Cancel deletion request.

Use it well - Retention and blockers​

  • Deletion is blocked while you still have active shared/team memberships or own a subscription with other active members.
  • Billing records, domain/registrar records, audit records, abuse records, and the sign-in identity may be retained for operational and legal continuity.
  • During the grace period, only deletion status and cancellation remain available.
  • Mobile beta billing is view-only, so subscription changes must be handled outside the beta app before deletion if needed.
