Cancel subscription and refund policy

Available now

Who this is for

This guide is for account owners or billing contacts who need to cancel a subscription, request a refund, or understand what happens when a plan is downgraded.

Before you start

  • Confirm you are the account owner or have billing permissions for the workspace.
  • Review your current usage on the Settings > Billing > Usage page so you understand what plan limits apply after a downgrade.
  • Export reports or data you need before downgrading. Lower plans can reduce access to history, exports, workspaces, domains, forms, conversion configs, and other paid features.
  • Decide whether you want to cancel entirely or downgrade to a lower plan.

What to do

Cancel your subscription

  1. Sign in to your ShortUrl.bot dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > Billing.
  3. Click the Manage Billing button. This opens the Stripe customer portal in a new tab.
  4. In the Stripe portal, select the option to cancel your subscription.
  5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
  6. You keep full access to your current plan features until the end of your billing period. No further charges are made after cancellation.

Understand the refund policy

  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once billed. Cancel before the renewal date if you do not want another billing period.
  • Refunds are limited to confirmed billing errors, confirmed material service failures, written exceptions, or refunds required by non-waivable law.
  • Domain registration, renewal, transfer, restoration, premium-domain, and related domain fees are generally non-refundable once submitted for processing.
  • Review the public Refund, Billing, and Cancellation Policy and Terms & Policies for the controlling policy.
  • If you believe you were charged in error, contact support through the dashboard.

What happens when you downgrade

  • Existing assets may continue only if they fit within the new plan limits and policy state.
  • Excess published Pages are automatically unpublished newest-first. Drafts are preserved.
  • Excess published Forms are automatically unpublished oldest-first. Drafts are preserved.
  • Excess active conversion configs and custom domains are automatically inactivated oldest-first.
  • Assets already using an inactivated custom domain may continue until the domain registration term expires, but the domain may no longer be used for new assets or normal management under the downgraded plan.
  • Links, QR codes, domains, pages, forms, conversion configs, exports, and analytics history can be limited or disabled if they exceed the downgraded plan or violate policy.

Use it well

  • Cancel or downgrade before your next billing cycle starts if you want to avoid being charged for another period.
  • Export any reports, form responses, conversion data, or analytics you need before downgrading, in case your new plan has different reporting or retention limits.
  • If you are unsure whether to cancel, consider downgrading to a free or lower plan first. You can always upgrade again later without losing your links.
